Bushcraft Northwest

In designing this knife, my goal was to combine favorite elements of bushcraft, woodcarving, puukko, and Mora knives, as well as adding a few ideas of my own. The handle has the comfort of a woodcarvers knife, the strength of a full tang tactical blade, and feels equally comfortable in any grip in either hand. The blade is short enough to be an effective carver, has enough length and stoutness for tough jobs, and is not overly wide so it can turn easily in the wood. The handle is made of bamboo that has been processed much like micarta. The individual fibers are separated and then bound together under pressure with an industrial strength, formaldehyde-free adhesive. This material can withstand 3,000 psi and is very resistant to the elements while being made from a sustainable resource.
We have now returned to the original 4mm (5/32") thickness and will be offering a newly designed knife in 3mm (1/8") in 2011. Stay tuned! The BCNW-O1 comes with a beautiful, handmade leather sheath with attachments for multiple carry options.
